Licensing your data with us takes five steps. Your team describes the data and approves the scope; we de-identify it, and your company is paid. Here is how a partnership runs and how your data is kept private, in the order things happen. ## What are the steps? There are five: the partnership form, a conversation, scope and terms, data preparation, then delivery and payment. [Start with the partnership form](https://www.fearofgod.ai/partner). 1. **Partnership form.** Describe your company and what its data covers. The form asks about your company, the kinds of data it holds, and roughly how much there is and how far back it goes. 2. **Conversation.** Talk it through with our team. This is where questions about your data, your customers’ rights and the process get answered. 3. **Scope and terms.** Agree what is licensed, and on what terms. The scope says which data is licensed and which is left out. Nothing outside it is shared. 4. **Data preparation.** We de-identify the data before it goes to buyers. Defined retention periods: raw data is deleted according to a schedule agreed with you. 5. **Delivery and payment.** The data is delivered and your company is paid. Payment timing is part of the terms agreed in step three. Your company can be paid more than once, through renewals and repeat licences. **Your team:** describes the company and its data on the partnership form; talks it through with our team; agrees the scope and terms, and approves them before anything is shared. **Our team:** de-identifies the data; deletes raw data on the schedule agreed with you; pays your company. ## How is your data kept private? You set the scope and approve it before anything is shared. We de-identify what is licensed, keep your company's name confidential until the agreement is fully signed, and delete raw data on the schedule agreed with you. 1. **De-identification.** We de-identify the data before it goes to buyers. 2. **Confidentiality and anonymity.** Your company's name stays confidential until the agreement is fully signed, and a completely anonymous partnership is also possible. We never name our buyers. 3. **Approved scope.** Only the data named in the scope you agree is licensed. Whatever you leave out stays out. 4. **Your approval.** You approve the scope and the terms before anything is shared. 5. **Defined retention periods.** Raw data is deleted according to a schedule agreed with you. ## Do you need to collect new data? Usually not. For data that already exists, there is nothing new to collect. Much of your data already lives in third-party software. Licensing it means re-licensing what already exists, and getting paid for it rather than giving it away for free. ## What do you agree in the terms? The scope (which data is licensed and what is left out), the retention schedule for raw data, payment timing and exclusivity are agreed with you for each partnership, and you approve the scope and terms before anything is shared. - **Ownership.** Your company can keep ownership of its data.
